FAIRFIELD, Calif. — A man was arrested in connection to a deadly hit-and-run in Fairfield.
The Fairfield Police Department said 62-year-old John Steingass was found driving along Pennsylvania Avenue around 2 p.m. and was brought into custody.
Police said Steingass allegedly hit and killed a man while he was crossing Sunset Avenue Thursday morning.
He was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and taken to the county jail.
In the past 30 days, there have been seven pedestrians hit and injured by cars in Fairfield.
