According to police, the two robbers rummaged through the vehicle looking for the car keys. When they weren't able to get the car started, they stole a cell phone and cash. One of the females was able to run away during the robbery.

The robbers ran away to a getaway car, described as a black four-door sedan with tinted windows, that was driven by a third unknown suspect.

Authorities described the robbers as males of an unknown race, wearing black hooded sweatshirts, black ski-masks, gloves, and dark jeans. They added that the suspects were also armed with guns, possibly revolvers.

Nearly an hour later, police were called to a reported carjacking and robbery with firearm at 7th and D Streets, which they say might be related to the prior robbery.

In this case, the victim, described only as female, parked her car when she was approached by two people. One of the robbers had a black handgun and was told to surrender all of her property.

The robbers took her cellphone, wallet, and keys before taking the car and heading westbound on 7th Street.

Police said the first suspect was described as a Hispanic man with a light beard, neck tattoos and wore a dark hoody with dark denim jeans. He was also described as being 6 feet tall with a lean build.

The second suspect was described as a Hispanic man standing at 6 feet tall and weighing 200 to 220 pounds wearing a dark hood and dark denim.

Police say there have seven armed robberies in Davis in the past 6 weeks. Most of them involved victims walking alone and all but one happened during the dark hours of the evening, police said.
