SACRAMENTO, California — A 22-year-old man is facing vehicular manslaughter charges after an alleged DUI crash left a Butte County man dead Tuesday night.
According to a collision report from the California Highway Patrol, it happened around 7 p.m. on Quincy La Porte Road.
CHP says 22-year-old Kalob Rice was driving a Dodge Ram southbound while a 59-year-old man from Clipper Mills was driving a Chevrolet Blazer northbound.
Both vehicles collided head-on and the man driving the Blazer died from his injuries.
CHP says Rice showed signs and symptoms of drug impairment and was arrested for DUI causing injury and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
