STOCKTON, Calif. — A suspect was arrested for arson Friday, the Stockton Police Department said.
Officers arrived to the 6400 block of West Lane in response to a report of a suspect wanted for arson and possible armed. The suspect, 49-year-old Saic Suson, was inside an apartment but refused to come out. Members of the SWAT team and Crisis Negotiation Team were called to the apartment complex. SWAT used less lethal beanbag rounds and chemical agents, causing Suson to surrender. He was arrested for arson and resisting arrest, according to the police department.

While the state will see more COVID vaccines coming, they are still testing the Moderna vaccine batch that caused several reactions. That batch did make it to Yolo County, but was not yet distributed. Yolo County health officials say many of the vaccine vials have provided an extra dose or two than they anticipated. As for the new variant of COVID, Dr. Ghaly said that it is similar to the UK variant and that the state is working on understanding and researching it better.
