GOLD RUN, Calif. — An ATM user was robbed at gunpoint Sunday morning, deputies with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said.
The armed robbery happened as the victim was withdrawing money from an ATM in the 2000 block of Gold Field Drive in Gold Run around 4:41 a.m., officials said.
The robber, described as a man wearing a black sweater, black mask, black beanie and black jeans, allegedly pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded the money. After robbing the ATM user, the man walked away toward Sunrise Boulevard, according to deputies.
It's unclear how much money the robber stole. Authorities do not believe the robbery was related to any previous ones in the county.
