SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — More than 20 cars had their tires slashed early Saturday morning in North Highlands.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said that it is investigating the incident on Cortright Way.
Resident Debbie Walker told ABC10 she woke up early Saturday morning to make it to an appointment, but barely made it out of her driveway before she realized something was wrong with her car.
After examining her car, she said realized that all four of her tires were flat and many others in the neighborhood were slashed too.
“We started looking at all the other cars along the driveways and the street and they were all flat,” Walker said.
Some cars on the block had one or two tires slashed, while others had all four tires slashed.
Walker said she got her car towed and estimates replacing all four of her car's tires will cost around $800. She’s lived in the neighborhood for six years and said this is the first time something like this has happened there.
