The man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy.

DAVIS, Calif — A man wanted in connection to a series of attacks in Davis was arrested Wednesday.

The attacks happened on March 29 near 2nd Street and F Street in downtown Davis. There were five to six reported suspects, including some who wore masks. The attack was caught on surveillance video which ultimately led to clearer pictures of the suspects and a license plate for the car they left in.

Three other unreported attacks were also discovered during the investigation, some of which included the same people from the March 29 attack.

In August, multiple people were arrested in connection to the attacks.

21-year-old Mark Anthony Benard Jr, of Dixon, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy, battery, assault with a deadly weapon and grand theft. Three minors were arrested for conspiracy and assault-related charges and a 15-year-old was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy, battery, assault with a deadly weapon and assault resulting in great bodily injury.

Lankford was wanted for his involvement in the crime, but he was found and arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and conspiracy on Wednesday.
