Deputies search for woman accused of hitting ex-boyfriend, woman with car in Rancho Cordova

Officials say it started near Folsom Boulevard and Aramon Drive after the woman went to her ex-boyfriend's house, did burnouts and hit him and a woman with the car.

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. — A search is underway in Rancho Cordova for a woman who allegedly hit her ex-boyfriend with a car and drove off, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office.

Officials say it started in the area of Folsom Boulevard and Aramon Drive after the woman went to her ex-boyfriend's house, did some burnouts in front of his home and ran him over before driving away. It's unclear why she was there to begin with. 

Officials say while she drove off, she hit another woman and continued driving. 

The man was taken to the hospital awake and alert, but the extent of his injuries are unknown. The woman who was hit had no injuries, according to officials. 

The woman driving the car eventually got out and ditched the car. Sheriff's deputies are searching the area for her.

No other information is known at this time.
