Police: 3 suspects arrested after allegedly stealing $4K worth of clothes in Elk Grove

The suspects, located by helicopter, reportedly took over $4,000 in merchandise

ELK GROVE, Calif. — Three suspects were arrested Tuesday in Elk Grove after allegedly taking over $4,000 of merchandise from a store, authorities said.

Around 11 p.m., three suspects allegedly entered a store and took "upwards of $4,000" in clothing, according to a news release Friday from the Elk Grove Police Department. One suspect drove off in a vehicle and the other two ran away on foot, police said.

The Sacramento Police Department assisted by helicopter in locating and detaining all three suspects, authorities said.

Elk Grove police posted a photo of the merchandise near Elk Grove Florin Road and Calvine Road on social media Friday.

Officers arrested 33-year-old Alfred Montalvo, 27-year-old Kysiah Jones and 31-year-old Don Clemons on various organized retail theft, conspiracy and drug possession charges, according to the news release. They were booked into Sacramento County Main Jail.

Montalvo and Jones were released on bail, jail records show. Clemons, who is ineligible for bail due to a flash incarceration charge, is not facing drug charges, jail records show. He is expected to appear Monday in Sacramento County Superior Court.
