Police investigate fatal Stockton shooting

STOCKTON, Calif. — Stockton police are investigating a shooting that turned deadly Friday evening.

The Stockton Police Department says officers responded to the 3800 block of Fairburn Way around 5:30 p.m. on reports that someone was shot. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound. 

He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. 

An investigation is underway and no motive or suspect information has been released. 

Officials encourage anyone with information to contact Stockton Police or submit anonymous tips through Stockton Crime Stoppers at 209-946-0600. No further information is known at this time.
