Florin High School given all clear after lockdown due to bomb threat

Officials said deputies swept the scene while coordinating student dismissal with the Elk Grove Unified School District.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A high school in Sacramento County was temporarily put on lockdown due to a bomb threat Monday afternoon.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said Florin High School was locked down after the threat was reported around 3 p.m.

Officials said deputies swept the scene while coordinating student dismissal with the Elk Grove Unified School District. Eventually, student were safely dismissed and off campus.

Deputies are still investigating the area with a secondary search.
