SACRAMENTO, Calif. — An El Dorado County teacher was arrested on Tuesday, accused of having been in an inappropriate sexual relationship with a student of his while he was teaching at a Sacramento charter school back in 2017.
Jason Bourdett, 34, was arrested at his home in Cameron Park on multiple complaints related to the alleged relationship. The El Dorado County Sheriff’s office began investigating after they say the student came forward with her story.
The girl, who said she was 17-years-old at the time, told investigators she met Bourdett when he was one of her teachers at Pacific Pathways Charter School in Sacramento in 2017. The girl alleged that her relationship with Bourdett lasted for six months and said she met with him “repeatedly” at his home in Cameron Park.
Bourdett is currently employed as a teacher at El Dorado High School, according to the sheriff’s office. No other potential victims have come forward at this time and investigators say they have not found any evidence linking Bourdett to any other students. This case remains under investigation.
