SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Police have opened a homicide investigation after a woman was found dead with at least one gunshot wound in a Sacramento home.
Sacramento Police Department said officers responded to the 3100 block of Northstead Drive for a medical aid call just before 10 a.m. Arriving officers found the woman, who was ultimately pronounced dead on scene.
Homicide and crime scene investigators took over the investigation based on the circumstances. It's not clear what led up to the shooting or the circumstances surrounding it.
The victim hasn't been identified at this time and no suspects have been arrested.
