LATHROP, Calif. — Lathrop police have opened an investigation into a homicide that happened in the early hours of Sunday morning.
According to Lathrop Police Department, the incident was reported just after 1:10 a.m. along the 300 block of Sunol Street as a disturbance.
Arriving officers found a person, only described as male, with life-threatening injuries. Despite efforts from first responders, he died at a hospital.
Police said the person they believe is responsible for the killing is in custody and there is no threat to the public.
The homicide remains under investigation.
