NORTH HIGHLANDS, Calif. — A man died following a large fight in North Highlands Wednesday afternoon.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said it was reported along the 5600 block of Georgia Drive, near A Street, around 1:15 p.m.
A spokesperson for the sheriff's office said there was a fight, possibly involving 30 people. A man was taken to a hospital by a private party where he ultimately died.
Officials said a couple of surrounding houses in the area were temporarily evacuated but people have since been allowed to come back home. Deputies received reports that the suspect could be in a home, but the all the houses checked clear.
There is no description for a suspect at this time.
