SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, Calif. — A homicide investigation is underway in San Joaquin County after a man was found dead in a car.
According to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called regarding an unresponsive man in a car near Sunny Road and Frontage Road, not far from Highway 99.
Deputies arrived and found the man had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
Few details surrounding the shooting and what led up to it have been released, however, a sheriff's spokesperson said the incident is being investigated as a homicide.
The man was only described as being in his mid-40s.
