TRACY, Calif. — A homicide investigation is underway after two fisherman spotted a dead body floating in a Tracy aqueduct on Sunday, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office.
The fishermen saw the body floating in the water while they were fishing in an aqueduct by Chrisman Road, deputies said.
Deputies and fire crews responded to the area only to find the person dead. Authorities described her a white woman, about 25 to 35 years old. An identification is still pending.
After an autopsy, investigators determined that this death was a homicide.
The investigation is still ongoing.
