Joshua Brown identified as man killed in sideshow-related shooting in Sacramento

The man was one of two people killed Sunday morning in sideshow-related shootings, according to police. Both shootings are considered separate incidents.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Another one of the victims killed during a violent weekend in Sacramento was identified as Joshua Wayne Brown, 20 of Sacramento. Brown died in a shooting related to sideshow activity, according to police.

The Sacramento County Coroner's Office released the man's identity Tuesday.

The deadly shooting was reported Sept. 22 just after 2 a.m. along the 2400 block of Seamist Drive in South Natomas. Police found Brown suffering from at least one gunshot wound, according to the Sacramento Police Department.

First responders tried to save his life, but Brown was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
