Man arrested in connection hidden cellphone found in Stockton bathroom

Police said the phone appeared to be recording in a garbage can with a hole cut out of it.

STOCKTON, Calif. — A man was arrested in connection a cellphone found in a Stockton bathroom.

The investigation dates back to September 28 when Stockton Police Department was called to the 5900 block of Pacific Avenue, near West Longview Avenue. Officials said a cellphone was found in a single-use bathroom's garbage can. 

The can had a hole cut out of it, and the phone appeared to be recording, according to police. 

By Nov. 28, police arrested Alejandro Aguirre, 26 of Stockton, in connection to the case. He was booked into the county jail on various charges.
