CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. — The Citrus Heights Police Department arrested a man Friday on the suspicion of stealing over thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from several stores and reselling the items.
Police said 29-year-old Tyrell Jermaine English of Sacramento was allegedly behind numerous thefts across Sacramento County and was targeting local retail stores. Police said the retail thefts resulted in over $35,000 of stolen merchandise and the items were allegedly being resold.
When English was arrested, police said detectives conducted a search of his home and recovered over $10,000 in stolen clothes that were allegedly stolen from one of the targeted stores.
In a photo shared by police, the recovered items included sweaters, hoodies, shirts, sweatpants and a Kings jersey.
English was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail and is facing multiple charges such as organized retail theft and robbery.
