NORTH HIGHLANDS, Calif. — Deputies have a launched an investigation after a shooting in North Highlands.
Few details surrounding the shooting are available at this time, including what led up to it.
A spokesperson for the sheriff's office said one man had multiple gunshot wounds and was also shot in the back. The shooting was reported along the 6000 block of Kemp Way just after 6 p.m.
The man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening wounds, according to the sheriff's office.
The man was only described as being in his 20s.
