MODESTO, Calif. — A man was hit and killed by a sedan while crossing a street in Modesto early Sunday morning.
According to the Modesto Police Department, the collision was reported at Paradise Road and Leon Avenue around 2:36 a.m.
Officers arrived to find a man dead in the roadway.
Citing witnesses, police said a black sedan hit the man while he was crossing Paradise Road and then took off, heading westbound.
