MODESTO, Calif. — A man was hit and killed by a sedan while crossing a street in Modesto early Sunday morning.
According to the Modesto Police Department, the collision was reported at Paradise Road and Leon Avenue around 2:36 a.m.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office identified the man hit as Miguel Angel Vazquez. They said he was homeless at the time of the crash.
Witnesses told police a black sedan hit Vazquez while he was crossing Paradise Road and then took off, heading westbound.
