MANTECA, Calif. — The Manteca Police Department has launched an investigation into a deadly shooting Thursday evening.
Sgt. Ian Osborn, spokesperson for the department, said the shooting happened along the 1200 block of Primavera Avenue and is being investigated as a homicide.
One person was killed and a person of interest has currently been detained in connection to the shooting. Police said the shooting appears to be an isolated incident.
No additional information is available at this time. Police are asking people to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
