Person killed in Modesto stabbing identified

Once officers got to the scene, a person was found and taken to the hospital where they died from their injuries.

MODESTO, Calif. — Modesto police officers are investigating after a person was stabbed to death Saturday evening. 

The Modesto Police Department says officers responded to reports of a stabbing around 7:30 p.m. at a home in the 1300 block of Trenary Way. Once on the scene, officers found two people involved in a fight.  Police say both were suffering from stab wounds.

Police say 27-year-old Abraham Terrones-Linares, one of the stabbed, was taken to the hospital where they died. The other person stabbed, identified as 33-year-old Abel Camarillo, was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and is being charged with the homicide of Abraham.

What led up to the stabbing is under investigation. 

No other information is available at this time.
