One killed in shooting at Roseville house party

A 25-year-old man has been arrested on murder charges after the fatal shooting of another man in Roseville.

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — A man was shot and killed Friday night at a house party in Roseville, not far from the northern side of Maidu Regional Park, police said. 

Officers got to the house on Winchester Way around 7:40 p.m.after reports of a shooting. Once there they found a man in his 20s who had been shot. He was taken to a nearby hospital but did not survive. 

Police told ABC10 that they believe that the victim and the man who shot him knew each other and that only one shot was fired.

Roberto Ortiz Sanchez was arrested for his connection to a fatal shooting in Roseville on Friday, June 14.

The shooter, identified as Robert Ortiz Sanchez, stayed at the house and spoke with police before being arrested.

The 25-year-old was booked into the South Placer Jail on murder charges. At this time Roseville Police do not suspect that any other people were involved in the man's death.
