PLACER COUNTY, Calif. — One person is in the hospital after a reported shooting near Homewood in Placer County.
A spokesperson for the Placer County Sheriff's Office said the shooting was reported in the area of West Lake Boulevard and Silver Street.
Deputies arrived and found a victim, who was then taken to the hospital. Deputies said the person is expected to survive.
Few details surrounding what led up to the shooting and the circumstances around it haven't been released. However, deputies said the suspect is still outstanding.
