SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A man is dead after being shot in the Greenhaven area of Sacramento.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, the shooting happened around 1 p.m. in the area of Riverside Boulevard and 43rd Avenue. According to the Officer Cody Tapley, police spokesperson, the shooting happened outside The Trap bar in the parking lot.
Before officers arrived, they were told the victim was taken to a hospital by a car at the scene.
Upon arrival, police secured the area and later found the unidentified 21-year-old victim at a hospital with at least one gunshot wound. He later died from his injuries. Sacramento Police Department initially described the wound as a shotgun wound, but corrected that to say gunshot wound.
The suspect in the shooting is outstanding.
