Folsom Police arrest 2 in connection to 19-year-old's killing

According to police, one of the suspects is a juvenile.

MARYSVILLE, Calif. — Folsom Police arrested a juvenile male and a 20-year-old woman in connection to a shooting that left a 19-year-old dead in Marysville Thursday.

According to the Yuba County Sheriff's Office, Folsom Police officers pulled the juvenile and the woman over while they were driving in Folsom Saturday. 

The two were taken into custody with incident, deputies said. Officers booked the woman, identified as Jordin Taylor, into the Yuba County Jail on suspicion of being an accessory to homicide.

Officers took the juvenile to Tri-County Juvenile Hall on suspicion of homicide. Taylor is being held on a $500,000 bail, officials said. 

Investigators believe the drive-by shooting happened at the Yuba Gardens Apartments on Hammonton Smartsville Road around 6:16 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities say the investigation is still active. Witnesses and people with information are asked to call police at 530-749-7777.

In an initial release, police described the deadly shooting as an isolated incident.
