MANTECA, Calif. — Manteca police are investigating a shooting and vehicle collision where a woman was found shot.
Police had gone to the 2500 block of North Airport Way, north of Daisywood Drive, after a person flagged officers down to tell them about the collision.
Arriving officers found two drivers, a man and a woman, in the respective vehicles.
Police said the woman had been shot and had life threatening injuries. The man's injuries were described as non-life threatening. Both were taken to taken to a local hospital.
Police had closed North Airport Way between Lovelace Road and Daisywood Drive to traffic temporarily for the investgiation; the roadway was re-opened on Saturday morning.
The investigation is ongoing and no other details are available at this time.
