Police investigate attempted kidnapping report in Roseville

The man was described as a white male in his mid-30s, wearing a black hoodie with the hood pulled over his head. He had a brown beard with some gray hair and brown eyes.

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Police are investigating reports of an attempted kidnapping that happened in Roseville, Friday afternoon.

Just after 4 p.m., police said they received a call from a 12-year-old boy, who told them about the alleged kidnapping incident. According to police, the boy said he got off the bus near Sharp Circle and Breuner Drive.

After he got off the bus, the boy said he saw a car drive past, then circle back around the block and stop near him. At first, the boy said a man in the car asked if he wanted a ride home, but he said no. Then he said the man got angry and yelled, “Get in the car!” The boy said he ran away after the man yelled at him and the car sped away.

The man was described as a white male in his mid-30s, wearing a black hoodie with the hood pulled over his head. He had a brown beard with some gray hair and brown eyes. The boy also told police that the man “appeared dirty,” as if coming from work.

The man’s vehicle is described as a bright lime green 4-door sedan with dark interior and some rips on the seat. The rear windows are tinted black and there was noticeable oxidation on the hood.
