SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A woman was taken to the hospital after being assaulted in Midtown Saturday evening, according to the Sacramento Police Department.
Police say officers were hailed to the 1200 block of 17th Street around 6:30 p.m. about an unresponsive woman. She was found unconscious at the scene and taken to the hospital where she's in critical but stable condition, according to officials.
Police say she was assaulted prior to being found unconscious. No arrests have been made and the incident is under investigation. Roads in the area were closed for a while but have since reopened.
