ROSEVILLE, Calif. — Former Olympian and Roseville wrestling coach Quincey Clark was convicted of nearly two dozen child sex crimes Thursday.
According to the Placer County District Attorney’s Office, a jury convicted the 51-year-old of 19 counts of lewd acts on a child, sexual battery by restraint, forced oral sex and more.
The investigation into Clark began in September 2022 when Roseville police received a community tip. They found multiple minors were victimized while training with him.
Evidence presented in court detailed a history of grooming that started as private wrestling lessons in his home gym before progressing into inappropriate massages under the guise of being part of the private training. It then escalated to sexual assault.
Clark is set to be sentenced July 8. He is a former Olympian who competed as a member of the 2000 U.S. Olympic wrestling team in Sydney, Australia.
