SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — A man faces a max sentence of 50 years to life in prison after chasing down and killing a rap artist in 2020, the Sacramento County District Attorney announced.
Moses Hirschfield was convicted over the weekend of first-degree murder and being a felon with a gun.
Officials said the victim, Christopher Treadwell, went to an AM/PM convenience store on June 21, 2020 and saw Hirschfield inside. Treadwell turned around, got in his car and left, but officials said Hirschfield followed him, chasing him down at speeds up to 113 mph until Treadwell crashed his car and tried to run away.
According to the district attorney's office, Hirschfield ran after him and ultimately shot him in the back of the head at a fast food drive-thru.
Hirschfield's sentencing is set for Aug. 29.
