Rio Vista police are investigating a reported bank robbery that happened as bank employees were closing business Monday evening.
The reported crime occurred just before 5 p.m. Monday, police said.
Officers were sent to the Bank of Stockton at 230 Main Street after being alerted by bank personnel the bank had just been robbed, police said.
While no gun was reported being used, the suspect reportedly handed an employee at the Bank of Stockton a note, demanding money, according to police.
The suspect was last seen escaping the bank on foot heading toward Second Street, police said.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s, with a thin beard. He was last seen wearing a black and green "Monster" logo baseball hat, sunglasses, a black windbreaker with a white collar and two horizontal white stripes across the chest, blue jeans and wearing white shoes.
Rio Vista Police Department officials are asking those with any information related to the crime to call 707-374-2300.
