FOLSOM, Calif. — A Sacramento County Sheriff's deputy surrendered to the Sacramento County Jail Thursday after an investigation found evidence that she had intercourse with a 16-year-old, according to the Folsom Police Department.
Shauna Bishop, 44, of Citrus Heights was charged with unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, oral copulation with a minor, and molesting a child. Bishop was released from jail the Thursday.
ABC10 previously reported that Bishop had been with the sheriff's office for five years, and was put on administrative leave during the investigation.
A statement from the Folsom Police Department said Bishop "didn't meet the victim through her job nor did the alleged acts occur while on duty."
Detectives do not believe there are additional victims.
