CAMINO, Calif. — A Sacramento man is facing a murder charge after a woman was found dead in a vehicle earlier in September.
According to CHP Placerville, 38-year-old Scott Boyles was formally charged with murder and arraigned last week.
The charge is the result of a deadly shooting that happened on September 7.
California Highway Patrol officers said they responded to a report of a disabled truck on eastbound Highway 50 around 6:30 a.m. They found a woman dead from a gunshot wound inside the vehicle.
Officers say Boyles was arrested at the scene and is in custody awaiting further legal proceedings.
