TRACY, Calif. — A man was arrested after allegedly attacking, stabbing and robbing another man at a homeless encampment in Tracy Monday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials said they were called around 4:30 p.m. to the homeless encampment along Interstate 205 about a 45-year-old homeless man being attacked. His condition is unknown.
After investigating, CHP officials identified 37-year-old Anthony Joaquin Blancarte, a homeless man in the area, as the suspect and arrested him Thursday.
He was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of robbery and attempted homicide, officials say.
