Father accused of sex trafficking in connection to daughter allegedly selling online photos

The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office said the father was aware of what his daughter was doing online.

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. — A father in El Dorado County was accused of sex trafficking and child abuse in connection to his 16-year-old daughter allegedly selling nude photos online.

The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office said they opened an investigation regarding the teenager in August of 2023. Deputies said the teen had a "very well known online presence on a variety of social media platforms."

According to the sheriff's office, the girl was selling illegal content online and made about $40,000 from it. Deputies said the girl's father, Scott Davis, was aware of what his daughter was doing online and was complicit in the profit.

After serving a search warrant at Davis' home, deputies took him into custody on suspicion of sex trafficking, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and child abuse.

The investigation is ongoing, but anyone with information surrounding the case can reach out to Detective Macres at macresc@edso.org or (530) 957-5227.
