SACRAMENTO, Calif. — One person is dead after a Sacramento shooting Monday afternoon.
According to Sacramento Police Department, police responded to the shooting along the 7800 block of La Riviera Drive around 5 p.m.
Arriving officers found a man with a life-threatening gunshot wound, but despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced dead on scene.
A second man was also found nearby with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to an area hospital.
It's not clear what led up to the shooting. However, two persons of interest were detained for interviews with detectives.
The deceased hasn't been identified.
