Shooting in Sacramento leaves one person injured

Sacramento police are investigating a shooting that left one person shot in the leg.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — An investigation is underway after shooting left one person injured in Sacramento.

Sacramento police say the shooting happened near 19th and V Streets.

One person was shot in the leg, but police say the injury is not life threatening.

Three people were detained after the incident. Official say the incident appears to be a dispute between two groups that escalated.

Pastor Efrem Smith of Bayside Church the person shot was coming to the church and tried to break up a dispute across the street. While the person was shot, Smith said he is doing OK and is at the hospital.
