STOCKTON, Calif. — The suspect in a deadly Stockton shooting from 2023 is behind bars.
The shooting dates back to July 23, 2023. Police responded to a reported shooting in the area of Sierra Nevada and Oak. Police arrived and found a man with gunshot wounds. He ultimately died at a hospital.
On Wednesday, police announced the arrest of Bradley Vargas, 38, in connection to the homicide. Police issued an arrest warrant for Vargas and he was detained by Livermore police Tuesday after a traffic stop. He was arrested and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of homicide.
