Suisun City man arrested after standoff at his estranged wife's home

Edgar Nunez was arrested after he violated his restraining order by threatening his wife with a knife Thursday night, according to the Suisun City Police.

SUISUN CITY, Calif. — Suisun City Police Officers arrested a man on Thursday night after he violated his restraining order by threatening his estranged wife with a knife, according to the Suisun City Police Department.

Suisun City police said they received a call of a fight around Hickman Circle and Hidden Pines Lane. Police officers met with the alleged victim, who told the officers that her estranged husband, Edgar Nunez, 39, was in the home. 

Officers said they learned Nunez had a felony warrant for his arrest. After they attempted to talk to Nunez, he barricaded himself inside of a closet. Officers reported hearing something like the sound of a gun loading and decided to leave the home.

Additional Suisun City Police Officers were called in, as well as the Solano County Sheriff's Office Swat and negotiations team. Nunez left the home once the SWAT team arrived. 

Nunez was booked at Solano County Jail for several felony charges, according to the release.
