SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Video footage and information from the Arden Fair Mall helped law enforcement track down the suspect who accidentally fired a gun in the mall back in December, police said.
The Sacramento Police Department said they arrested 20-year-old Jose Garciacorona, of Marysville, on suspicion of negligent discharge of a gun and possession of a loaded gun in public. Police said they made the arrest after serving a warrant for his home and car.
The accidental shooting happened Dec. 16. Police found evidence of a shooting on the second floor and said a 22-year-old man had very minor injuries, potentially as a result of shrapnel from the bullet.
