STOCKTON, Calif — One man is behind bars after being arrested in connection to a July homicide in Stockton.
Stockton Police Department announced Angel Ambriz, 18, was arrested and booked into the county jail on suspicion of murder. He was arrested Oct. 26 with help from the U.S. Marshal's Task Force.
He's accused in the shooting death of 18-year-old Angel Ramos during the early morning hours of July 2. It was reported near Highway 4 and Wilson Way. The victim ultimately died.
Police said the shooting possibly happened minutes earlier in the area of Main Street and Rendon Avenue, nearly a mile away. It's not clear what led up to the shooting, but police also said a sideshow was reported in the area about a half-hour earlier.
Family members said Ramos was an American Legion High School graduate.
