SACRAMENTO, Calif — A man was arrested in connection to a deadly Sacramento shooting from February.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, 32-year-old Avonte Teasely was arrested on suspicion of murder in Oakland on March 3.
The shooting itself happened along the 3800 block of 14th Avenue on Feb. 23. The victim, a woman, was taken to the hospital with what officials originally believed to be at least one non-life-threatening gunshot wound, but she later died, according to police.
Teasely was booked into the Sacramento County jail on homicide-related charges.
