3 minors, 18-year-old arrested in Sacramento shooting

The sheriff's office says the victim is expected to survive the shooting and is recovering at a hospital.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Authorities say they've made four arrests after a shooting unfolded in Sacramento on Saturday.

Efrain Guerrero, 18, and three minors were arrested after a shooting happened at Highway 99 and Turnbridge Drive, said Sgt. Tess Deterding, spokesperson for the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office.

On Saturday, deputies responded to the area after reports of a person, only described as male, was shot. Arriving deputies detained people in a car that was believed to have been involved, according to the sheriff's office, however, deputies say two people ran from the car.

Sgt. Deterding says the victim is expected to survive the shooting and is recovering at a hospital.

Deputies are still trying to piece together a motive for the shooting and are still looking for the two people who ran away.
