LODI, Calif. — Two minors were shot late Monday night in Lodi. Both were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to Lt. Matt Latino with the Lodi Police Department, a 17-year-old suspect was arrested and faces attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and hit-and-run charges.
Latino says the two minors were walking near the intersection of Flora Street and South Central Avenue when the suspect fired at them from a vehicle.
Police say the suspect tried to leave the scene after the shooting, but damaged their vehicle by crashing into an unoccupied vehicle and was found shortly after.
No motive for the shooting is known at this time.
