VALLEJO, Calif. — The Vallejo Police Department arrested three men in a murder and robbery case that happened in 2016, the department announced Wednesday.
Amonie Summerise, 24, and Elijah Summerise, 21, and Kashius Nelson, 22, were arrested in connection with a robbery at a pawn shop that left one man dead and one seriously injured. All three have been charged with the murder of Tim Pult, the attempted murder of the second store employee, as well as the robbery.
Shortly after 3 p.m. on Dec. 20, 2016, the Vallejo Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at the Pawn Advantage located at 2581 Spring Road.
Officers found two shooting victims and a dead dog when they arrived on the scene. Two masked gunmen stormed into the pawn shop, according to witnesses and surveillance video.
Store owner Timothy Pult, 49, was fatally shot by one of the suspects. A store employee in a wheelchair was also shot during the robbery. The employee barely survived the attack and still receives medical care for his injuries, according to Vallejo police.
The suspects shot and killed Pult's chocolate Labrador, Copper, as they left the pawn shop.
Vallejo Police detectives began an intense investigation into the robbery, gathering enough evidence to seek arrest warrants for over two years.
Amonie was arrested by Vallejo detectives on the morning of July 12. Elijah was arrested later that day by Vallejo detectives and the Solano County FBI Safe Streets Task Force. Nelson, who is currently serving time for a robbery that occurred in Yolo County, was arrested on July 16 at Calipatria State Prison.
