16-year-old killed in Vallejo shooting

When they arrived, officers found a 16-year-old with at least one gunshot wound. Police said the teenager died at the scene.

VALLEJO, Calif. — A teenager died in a shooting Wednesday, according to the Vallejo Police Department.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 11:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Carolina Street. When they arrived, officers found a 16-year-old with at least one gunshot wound. Police said he died at the scene.

There's very little information about what led up to the shooting and police are investigating.

This is the 12th homicide in Vallejo so far this year, according to the police department.
